Job summary

Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the operating room team.

This full-time, day-shift role supports the Registered Nurse Circulator and helps maintain a sterile field, passes instruments and supplies, and ensures aseptic technique throughout surgery. Qualified candidates will be graduates of an AST-accredited program, with NBSTSA certification and BLS, and have scrub experience in spine, joints, open-heart, or eye surgery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AST-accredited surgical technicians program.
• Upon hire: NBSTSA Surgical Technologist certification.
• Upon hire: American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Experience scrubbing in Complex Spine, Total Joints, Open Hearts, and Eye Service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field during procedures and pass instruments, sutures and sponges.
• Assist the Registered Nurse Circulator and ensure aseptic technique at all times.
• Prepare and monitor surgical supplies and equipment for cases.
