Job summary

Qualifications

• Successfully completed training as a surgical technician at an accredited school.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) upon hire.
• National Provider BLS (American Heart Association) upon hire.
• 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician in the Operating Room.

Responsibilities

• Review preference lists and pick supplies/instruments for procedures.
• Perform surgical scrub and prepare back table with sterile instrumentation and supplies.
• Provide intra-operative support by anticipating the surgeon’s needs and passing instruments.
• Transport instruments/equipment to decontamination and restock after procedures.
• Provide patient care across age groups from premature to older adults.
