Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH is seeking a Surgical Technologist for day shifts to support a 9-room operating suite. You will scrub, prepare instruments, and assist the OR team to ensure patient safety and efficient procedures across orthopedics, ENT, general, bariatric, vascular, plastics, and thoracic surgeries.

Qualifications

• Recent surgical scrub experience required.
• Experience in orthopedics, ENT, general, or similar surgeries preferred.
• ARC/AHA BLS certification and NH Medical Technician registration are required.

Qualifications Experience Minimum Required

• Recent Surgical Scrub experience

Experience Preferred/Desired

• One year of Surgical Scrub experience

Education Minimum Required

• Completion of an approved Surgical Technologist Program or completion of hospital based training program and two or more years recent scrub experience.

Licensure and/or Certifications Required

• ARC or AHA BLS, NH Medical Technician Registration

Licensure and/or Certifications Preferred/Desired

• CST

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques.
• Familiarity with surgical equipment and technology used in the operating room.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations during surgeries.
• Understanding of infection control protocols and patient safety measures.
