Cynet Health is seeking an OB Technician to assist during vaginal and cesarean deliveries under physician and nurse supervision. The role emphasizes aseptic technique, medical terminology, and accurate counting of instruments.

The OB Tech will help prepare the operating room, transport patients, and support the surgical team during intra-operative procedures across 13 weeks of assignment.

Description:The OB Technician assists other members of the healthcare team in the delivery of patient care during the intra-operative period.The major focus for this position is on assisting during vaginal and/or cesarean deliveries under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses.The OB Technician may help set up the operating room, prepare and transport patients for surgery, and adjust lights and equipment.Responsibilities include passing instruments and other supplies to surgeons and surgeon assistants, holding retractors, and helping to count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments.This individual must apply basic knowledge of medical terminology, the metric system, and aseptic technique in all patient and family interactions.Preferred experience includes one year in an operating room setting.
