Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will prepare sterile fields, handle instruments and specimens, and assist with patient care before, during, and after procedures.

The role requires a certified program graduate with BLS; CST/TS-C is preferred. You will work in a fast-paced environment, maintain strict sterile technique, and help ensure patient safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Accredited Surgical Technologist program graduate.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• CST or TS-C certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room by setting up sterile fields for each case.
• Handles, labels and processes surgical specimens per protocol.
• Assists nursing staff in preparation, transport, positioning and draping of patients.
• Monitors instruments and supplies to ensure patient safety.
• Verifies equipment functionality and reports issues promptly.
• Adheres to infection prevention, patient safety and quality standards.
• Decontaminates, prepares and sterilizes instruments with the sterile processing team.
• Anticipates the surgical team's needs by passing instruments efficiently during procedures.
