Job summary

Medical City Las Colinas, part of the HCA Healthcare network, is seeking a Certified Obstetric Surgical Technologist to join the Labor & Delivery team. You will prepare the operating room, support obstetric procedures, and help ensure newborns receive the highest standards of care.

The role emphasizes teamwork, on-call scheduling, and growth opportunities within a premier hospital setting. A valid CST and completion of a Surgical Technician program are required.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• CST certification required within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year CST experience required.
• High School Graduate / GED or equivalent must be completed.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technician program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite and organize instruments, equipment and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy and safety.
• Provide instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field, perform counts, and ensure instruments and equipment function properly.
• Work closely with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience.

Skills

Basic Cardiac Life Support

CST experience

Education
