Aspirus Langlade Hospital in Antigo, WI is seeking Surgical Tech Interns. You will work under a precepting Technologist to support sterile technique, patient safety and efficient operating room workflows.

Roles vary by year, with internship I in Sterile Processing and internship II in the OR. Paid internship opportunities with completion pathways into technologist roles are common for strong students who meet BLS requirements and program enrollment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Surgical Technologist program.
• Surgical Tech Intern I - 1st year students.
• Surgical Tech Intern II - 2nd year students.
• Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Work under the direct supervision of a precepting Surgical Technologist.
• Collaborate to provide a safe, efficient environment for the surgical patient and staff.
• Adhere to Aspirus standards of practice, policies, universal precautions and sterile technique.

Aspirus Langlade Hospital in Antigo, WI is seeking SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST STUDENTS our team!

The Surgical Tech Intern works under the direct supervision of a precepting Surgical Technologist. As an Intern, you will collaborate with the precepting Surgical Technologist to provide a safe, efficient environment for the surgical patient and staff by working in accordance with the Aspirus standards of practice and by adhering to Aspirus policies, procedures, universal precautions, and sterile technique.

ELIGIBILITY:

• Students who are currently enrolled in a Surgical Technologist program.
• Surgical Tech Intern I - 1st year students
• Surgical Tech Intern II - 2nd year student
• Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Surgical Tech Intern I will work in Sterile Processing.
• Sterile Tech Intern II will work in the OR.
• Opportunities to enhance skills. Increased understanding of processes.
• Paid position.
• Many students who are interns accept a technologist role before graduation.

HOURS:

Flexible, occasional status; will work with student hours.

PAY RATE:

Intern I: $16.00/Hour, Intern II: $17.00/Hour
