Aspirus Health invites Surgical Tech Interns to gain hands-on experience by working one-on-one with an experienced Surg Tech, under direct supervision. Eligible students must currently be enrolled in a Surgical Technologist program and progress from Intern I (1st year) to Intern II (2nd year).

The paid internship offers exposure in Sterile Processing and the OR, with flexible hours to accommodate student schedules.

Qualifications

• Students currently enrolled in a Surgical Technologist program.
• Surgical Tech Intern I – 1st year; Intern II – 2nd year.
• Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Work under the direct supervision of a precepting Surgical Technologist.
• Assist in sterile processing or OR depending on intern level.
• Support safety, sterile technique, and Aspirus standards.

Aspirus is excited to invite Surgical Technologist Students to apply and gain hands‑on experience by working one‑on‑one with an experienced Surg Tech!

The Surgical Tech Intern works under the direct supervision of a precepting Surgical Technologist. As an Intern, you will collaborate with the precepting Surgical Technologist to provide a safe, efficient environment for the surgical patient and staff by working in accordance with the Aspirus standards of practice and by adhering to Aspirus policies, procedures, universal precautions, and sterile technique.

ELIBIBILITY:

• Students who are currently enrolled in a Surgical Technologist program.
• Surgical Tech Intern I - 1st year students
• Surgical Tech Intern II - 2nd year student
• Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Surgical Tech Intern I will work in Sterile Processing.
• Sterile Tech Intern II will work in the OR.
• Opportunities to enhance skills. Increased understanding of processes.
• Paid position.
• Many students who are interns accept a technologist role before graduation.

HOURS:

Flexible, occasional status; will work with student hours.

PAY RATE:

Intern I: $16.00/Hour, Intern II: $17.00/Hour
