Job summary

Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, WI is seeking SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST STUDENTS to join our team. The Surgical Tech Intern works under the direct supervision of a precepting Surgical Technologist to provide a safe, efficient environment for the surgical patient and staff by following Aspirus standards and policies.

• Currently enrolled in a Surgical Technologist program.
• Surgical Tech Intern I - 1st year student or Intern II - 2nd year student.
• Knowledge of commonly used surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a precepting Surgical Technologist.
• Assist in sterile processing or the OR as assigned.
• Support a safe, efficient environment for the surgical patient and staff.
• This is a paid internship with potential for future opportunities.

Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, WI is seeking SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST STUDENTS our team!

The Surgical Tech Intern works under the direct supervision of a precepting Surgical Technologist. As an Intern, you will collaborate with the precepting Surgical Technologist to provide a safe, efficient environment for the surgical patient and staff by working in accordance with the Aspirus standards of practice and by adhering to Aspirus policies, procedures, universal precautions, and sterile technique.

ELIGIBILITY:

• Students who are currently enrolled in a Surgical Technologist program.
• Surgical Tech Intern I - 1st year students
• Surgical Tech Intern II - 2nd year student
• Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
  

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Surgical Tech Intern I will work in Sterile Processing.
• Sterile Tech Intern II will work in the OR.
• Opportunities to enhance skills. Increased understanding of processes.
• Paid position.
• Many students who are interns accept a technologist role before graduation.
  

HOURS:

Flexible, occasional status; will work with student hours.

PAY RATE:

Intern I: $16.00/Hour, Intern II: $17.00/Hour
