Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical equipment and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.
• Follow hospital regulations and AORN guidelines for patient safety.
• Assist circulating RN with patient preparation and room turnover.
• Count instruments, sponges and sharps before and after procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain proper sterilization methods for instruments and autoclaves.
