Job summary

Kaiser Permanente seeks a Certified Surgical Technician to assist surgeons during operative cases by performing scrub duties under RN or physician supervision. You will prepare the sterile field, pass instruments, and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure.

This on-site role in California requires two years OR scrubbing experience, graduation from an approved surgical technologist program, and active BLS. On-call shifts may apply, and you will support the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved surgical technologist or military equivalent program.
• Two years within last three years operating room scrubbing.
• Maintains required certifications such as BLS and specialty credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assists physician during surgical procedures by performing scrub duties.
• Prepares sterile field and passes instruments to the surgeon.
• Maintains patient safety and confidentiality during procedures.
• Sets up and organizes room and equipment for upcoming procedures.
• Communicates with the RN and team to coordinate care.
