UNC Health’s Rex Surgical Services is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to support intraoperative care, sterile technique, and instrument handling across multiple service lines in a busy OR.

Under surgeon and RN supervision, you scrub, prepare instruments, and assist with cases while mentoring junior teammates. This full-time, day-shift role is based in Raleigh, NC with competitive hourly pay.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED; Surgical Technology program or military training may satisfy requirement.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification; CST/TS-C preferred.
• 3+ years of Surgical Tech experience.
• Mentoring or team-lead experience is beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Performs duties of Level I plus advanced operating room skills.
• Maintains sterile field and proper instrumentation handling.
• Adheres to aseptic technique and corrects contamination.
• Performs surgical counts and reports discrepancies.
• Assists in instrument prepping, labeling, and handling.
• Supports surgeon and RN during intraoperative phases; assists with case setup and planning.
