UNC Rex Healthcare is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to join our OR teams in Raleigh. You will work under surgeon and RN supervision to ensure safe, sterile, and efficient invasive procedures, supporting instrument setup, sterile technique, and intraoperative care across service lines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology or Nursing Program; military training accepted.
Licensure/Certification in CST, BLS, and TS-C as listed.

Responsibilities

Performs duties of Level I plus advanced responsibilities in all OR areas.
Maintains sterile field and proper handling of instruments and supplies.
Performs surgical counts and reports discrepancies.
Assists in instrument setup, case preparation, and planning instrument needs.
Acts as mentor for new hires and participates in orientation and evaluations.
Operates complex OR equipment and supports intraoperative care across service lines.
