Job summary

The General Hospital Corporation in Boston, MA is seeking a Surgical Tech II for the Night Shift to support the Trauma Team. The role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates and is based at our 90 Blossom Street facility.

Ideal candidates are experienced surgical technologists with strong knowledge of SPD sterile room practices, and a team-oriented, fast-paced clinical environment. Night shifts include on-site work with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two to three years of surgical technologist experience in an acute care setting required.
• CST certification preferred (NBSTSA).
• Knowledge of SPD sterile room and sterile processing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Participates in time-out procedures.
• Attains extra supplies and equipment as needed.
• Sets up equipment independently.
• Participates as an active member of the Patient Care Team.
• Monitors operating room conditions and patient/surgical team needs.
• Prepares patients for surgery and positions them appropriately.
• Knows SPD sterile room procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
