Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital is looking for a Surgical Technologist II or III to join a dedicated perioperative team. The role supports surgeons across procedures, ensuring a sterile, prepared operating room and safe patient care.

The position requires 1–2 years of Surgical Tech experience, a high school diploma or technical credential, and BLS certification. Day shift with 36 hours per pay period and on-call responsibilities are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational/technical diploma preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of Surgical Tech experience is preferred.
• Licensed BLS certification is required; Certified Surgical Technologist credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing advanced knowledge and proficient practice in the scrub role for most surgical procedures.
• Conducting pre-operative duties, including performing a surgical scrub, donning OR attire, and acquiring PPE.
• Getting the operating room and sterile field ready for surgical procedures by applying sterile technique.
• Setting up the sterile back table and Mayo stand with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for the procedure.
• Helping team members put on gowns and gloves, and aiding with draping the patient and sterile field.
• Performing intraoperative counts (instruments, sponges, needles) and labeling all medication.
