Job summary

Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles is seeking a Surgical Technologist III to join the operating room team. Under supervision of licensed caregivers, you will prepare rooms, arrange instruments, assist in procedures, and help maintain smooth teamwork and patient safety.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, a technical diploma, and at least three years of surgical experience; BLS certification is required and CST is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates intra-operative preparation with educators and team leaders.
• Acts as preceptor for CST students and new hires; assists with orientation.
• Assists in equipment evaluation and budgetary considerations.
• Engages in unit staff meetings; promotes patient care and safety.
• Prepares operating rooms for surgery and assists with turnover.
• Ensures instruments are sterilized and readily available.
• Assists surgeons during surgery by passing sterile instruments.
