Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an OR Tech I for the Jersey City area. You will join the operating room team under RN supervision, assisting the surgeon and staff to deliver safe patient care throughout the surgical process.

The role requires a Surgical Technician credential, strong communication, and the ability to scrub across multiple service lines. Full-time daytime schedule with alternating weekends and call coverage offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician training program.
• 2–3 years of experience.
• Proficient in scrubbing service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, trauma.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon and RN during procedures.
• Prepare sterile field and surgical instruments.
• Maintain patient safety and assist with handoffs before, during, and after surgery.
