Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist I for Canonsburg Hospital. This role involves direct and indirect technical tasks before, during, and after surgical procedures. Applicants should have a relevant certificate or equivalent experience, as well as adhere to ethical standards and HIPAA compliance.

The successful candidate must also complete an accredited Surgical Technologist program and obtain certification within six months of hire. A sign on bonus is available for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• One year certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST, TS-C) required within 6 months of hire.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up the surgical operating suite with instruments and supplies.
• Utilize proper aseptic techniques and follow medication policies.
• Assist with patient positioning and surgical site confirmation.
• Adapt to surgeon preference and care variables.
