Job summary

Children's Wisconsin in Milwaukee is hiring a Surgical Technologist/Technician for a 0.9 FTE equivalent full-time role. The 12-hour shift runs 7am–7pm with department-based call requirements, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Orientation is structured, and new graduates are welcome based on experience. Qualified candidates have completed a Surgical Technician program and hold current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Surgical Technician program.
• New graduates and experienced Surgical Technologists welcome to apply; pay based on experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgical procedures and assist with room turnover by arranging sterile setup of instruments, sponges, sutures, and other supplies.
• Consult with the physician before cases to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready.
• Assist with sponge and needle counts during the procedure.
• Maintain current knowledge of operating room technologies and techniques.
