Job summary

Coral Springs Family Health and Surgery Center, part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System, is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a regular PRN daytime role in the Operating Room Acc-Weston Hospital. The role involves assisting surgeons and RNs, preparing sterile fields, passing instruments, and covering Endoscopy as needed.

You will work in a fast-paced operative environment, ensuring adherence to AORN guidelines and maintaining aseptic technique while supporting a high standard of patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program accredited through the CAAHEP or ABHES
• OR completion of a military surgical technology program
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (TS-C or CST)
• BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures under the supervision of surgeons and RNs
• Set up sterile tables and pass instruments to the surgeon
• Sterilize instruments after procedures
• Float to provide Endoscopy Technician coverage
• Maintain aseptic technique and safety standards
• Prepare and edit surgeon's preference lists and communicate during procedures
