Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Surgical Technologist for outpatient surgery. This full-time role operates 6:45a to 3:15p with a rotating late day schedule and includes a $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities include assisting in the operating room under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and contributing to a calm, well-organized surgical team. Requirements include formal technologist training and strong clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist program.
• Strong clinical, organizational, communication and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.
• BLS certification within 90 days.

Job Description:

• The surgical technologist is a technically trained person who functions as a member of the surgical team and performs under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in the Operating Room.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist program required.
• Good clinical, organizational, communication, customer service and critical thinking skills required.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology preferred.
• Recent experience as a surgical tech in an Acute Care facility preferred.
• BLS preferred upon hire; required within 90 days.
