Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the scrub team. The role involves performing scrub duties and collaborating with licensed staff to deliver patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Requirements include a HS Diploma or GED, completion of a Surgical Technology program, and at least 3 years of surgical tech experience. BCLS is required; CST certification is preferred. This is a full-time on-site position at Piedmont Augusta Hospital.

Qualifications

• 3 years of surgical tech experience required.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) required on hire.
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs necessary duties in scrub role and supports surgical team.
• Assumes greater responsibility in providing patient care with higher level critical thinking and problem solving.
• Works in partnership with licensed staff to deliver care.
• Cares for patients across age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.
