Job summary

Vitruvian Health in Dalton, GA seeks a skilled Surgical Tech/First Assistant to support surgeons and nursing staff in the operating room. Requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program and certification (CST, CST-CFA, or SA-C) with at least three years of progressive OR experience.

The role demands strong aseptic technique, instrument knowledge, and expertise in tissue handling, hemostasis, and suturing.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent acceptable to the Liaison Council on Certification of Surgical Technologists or the American board of Surgical Assistants.
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), or CST-CFA, or SA-C, with 3 years as CST and competency in all specialties.
Minimum of 3 years progressive, diversified operating room experience including scrubbing and First Assisting in multiple specialties.

Responsibilities

Perform scrub tech and First Assistant duties for surgical cases and assist RN and surgeon.
Demonstrate knowledge of aseptic techniques and operating room instrumentation.
Provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served; assist with tissue retraction, hemostasis, and wound closures as directed.
Collaborate with the OR team to ensure patient safety and efficient case flow.
