Valley Baptist - Brownsville is hiring a Surgical Technologist First Assistant to support the surgeon by aiding exposure, hemostasis, and closure, with duties before and after surgery as needed. The role requires validated skills from approved training and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program.
• 3 years scrub and/or assisting experience.
• AHA BLS certification.
• Surgical Technology certification.
• Surgical First Assistant certification.
• Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring appropriate equipment is available.
• Reviewing permit to confirm procedure.
• Assist in moving and positioning patient.
• Providing assistance throughout the procedure in a variety of surgical techniques.
