Job summary

St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY (part of Trinity Health) has an opening for an Operating Room Tech/Surgical Tech on the Evening shift. You will assist as first scrub, create and maintain the sterile field, and prepare operating rooms for procedures.

Minimum requirements include a nationally accredited surgical technology program with CST credential; NY LPN license or equivalent military training. 1–2 years of OR experience is preferred. Competitive pay ranges apply.

Qualifications

• Completed a nationally accredited surgical technology program and maintains CST credential.
• LPN license in NY state or equivalent military training accepted.
• Prior OR scrub experience preferred; ability to maintain sterility and counts.

Responsibilities

• Provide first scrub assistance and maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms and monitor sterile technique throughout cases.
• Inspect items for contamination and ensure accurate instrument counts.
• Position and transport patients as needed, with teamwork emphasized.
