Qualifications

• Completion of a nationally accredited program for surgical technologists.
• Certified surgical technologist credential required when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance as first scrub at the surgical table for select procedures.
• Create and maintain sterile field.
• Prepare operating rooms.
• Monitor technique and function; maintain sterile field and setup.
• Inspect sterile items for contamination and maintain sterility of instruments.
• Perform and document accurate counts of instruments, sponges and needles.
• Position and transport patients.
