Job summary

Albany Med Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room. The role supports sterile technique, prepares operating rooms, and assists with patient positioning during evening shifts in the United States of America.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalent, CST Surgical Technology program completion, and NYS LPN acceptable. 1–3 years of scrubbing experience and familiarity with specialty services are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program (CST).
• NYS LPN also acceptable.
• 1 to 3 years of scrubbing experience preferred.
• Familiar with all specialty services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field.
• Prepare operating rooms and assist with patient positioning as needed.
• Inspect sterile items for contamination before opening; maintain sterility while scrubbed and of instruments and supplies.
• Perform accurate instrument, sponge and needle counts following policies and procedures.
