Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our scrub team. You will perform scrub duties, assist with patient care, and work closely with registered nurses to maintain a safe and efficient operative environment.

The role requires an accredited Surgical Technology program or GED with related education, and BCLS certification upon hire. CST certification is preferred, with opportunities for growth within a large health system.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology program required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required upon hire; CST preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs necessary duties in scrub role. Takes on greater responsibility in providing patient care demonstrating a higher level critical thinking and problem solving skills. Functions in partnership with licensed staff. Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program Required

Work Experience

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or
• 3 years of surgical tech experience Required
