Job summary

Hughston Clinic is seeking a Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) to assist in the operating room under RN supervision. The role focuses on preparing sterile supplies, maintaining sterility, and supporting case turnover with attention to safety and quality.

Requirements include 1 year OR experience or completion of an approved Surgical Technologist program, BLS, and a HS diploma. Orthopaedic OR experience is preferred. Sign-on bonus offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year of OR experience required or graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist Program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and provides sterile supplies, instruments and equipment during surgical procedure.
• Maintains the sterile environment/technique.
• Maintains control over all counts during surgery.
• Ensures proper functioning of equipment prior to use and confirms instruments, supplies, and implants are accounted for before start of surgery.
• Follows OR policies and procedures for turnover between cases, maintaining efficiency.
• Demonstrates adherence to Universal Precautions and uses PPE.
