Qualifications

• Associate degree or NBSTA/NCCT certification required.
• Four years of surgical technologist experience with a HS diploma, or equivalent on-the-job/military training.
• Certified Surgical Technologist required within one year of hire if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct care to patients undergoing surgery by passing sterile instruments and preparing the OR.
• Label and handle patient specimens.
• Maintain a clean, safe operating room and aseptic technique.
• Assist with preoperative and postoperative care as directed by RN.
