Job summary

Medical City Alliance in Fort Worth is seeking a Certified Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist to join our cardiac surgery team. You will scrub in, prepare the suite, hand instruments, and support the surgeon to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

You’ll work with state-of-the-art equipment and benefit from comprehensive training, predictable scheduling, and opportunities for professional growth within the HCA Healthcare network.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• CSFA (Certified Surgical First Assistant) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree.
• 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and organizing the surgical suite with instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping.
• Scrubbing in and handing instruments to the surgeon and anticipating needs of the team.
• Monitoring equipment and patient status during procedures and acting quickly when needed.
• Maintaining a sterile field and contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and organizing the surgical suite with the right instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure safe, efficient procedures
• Supporting patients with transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while protecting their comfort, privacy, and safety
• Scrubbing in and assisting the surgeon by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the needs of the team
• Monitoring equipment and patient status throughout procedures, taking quick, effective action when needed
• Maintaining a sterile field, ensuring thorough room turnover, and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team culture
