Job summary

Texas Health Frisco is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a full-time day shift in the Surgery department. You will work across multiple specialties, in a high-volume unit with 8 operating rooms including 3 robotic rooms.

Qualifications include CST certification and BCLS, with 1+ year of CST experience preferred. On-call requirements apply and health benefits are provided in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before Sept 1, 2009 or
• Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program or military training program in surgical technology
• At least 1 year CST experience strongly preferred
• CST graduates from an accredited program upon hire
• CST and prior practice in healthcare settings upon hire
• LVN credentials upon hire where applicable
• BCLS certification required prior to providing independent patient care and updated quarterly

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing peri-operative care for infants to geriatrics
• Preoperatively assist RN circulator in forming plan of care
• Coordinate patient care peri-operatively and uphold professional nursing standards
• Post-operatively assist with instrument and supply care under supervision
• Help prevent infection and protect patient from injury
• Deliver care emphasizing quality, service, and cost effectiveness
• Demonstrate competence in age-appropriate patient care across life span
