Job summary

Iredell Health System is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) for a full-time day shift with on-call duties. You will assist in the Operating Room under RN supervision and participate in patient care activities essential to surgical procedures.

Candidates should have an approved CST program, NBSTSA certification, and BCLS. On-call responsibilities and a sign-on bonus are offered with comprehensive benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technician program or military surgical tech program with HS diploma or GED.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Certified Surgical Technologist with NBSTSA.
• Thorough knowledge of surgical asepsis.
• Completes hospital/unit orientation with patient-care growth focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and treatment to patients in the Operating Room under RN direction.
• Access patient demographics and limited clinical information as needed.
• Handle access to medication storage areas excluding controlled substances as required.
