Baylor Scott & White Surgicare - North Garland is hiring a Surgical Tech Coordinator to lead the Sterile Processing Department, coordinate workflow with OR staff, ensure sterilization standards, and support instrument inventory.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, and collaboration with physicians to deliver safe, efficient patient care, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST certification required or preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of Sterile Processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization, decontamination, and infection prevention practices.
• Thorough understanding of surgical instrumentation and equipment.
• Previous leadership, lead technician, preceptor, or coordinator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for daily Sterile Processing Department operations.
• Coordinate department workflow and ensure compliance with sterilization standards.
• Support staff development and instrument inventory management.
• Collaborate with Operating Room staff and physicians to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Surgical Tech Coordinator at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare - North Garland:

The Surgical Tech Coordinator provides leadership and oversight for the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department. This position is responsible for coordinating department workflow, ensuring compliance with sterilization standards, supporting staff development, maintaining instrument inventory, and serving as a resource for Sterile Processing Technicians. The Coordinator also performs sterile processing duties and works collaboratively with Operating Room staff and physicians to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required or preferred based on facility requirements.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of Sterile Processing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization, decontamination, and infection prevention practices.
• Thorough understanding of surgical instrumentation and equipment.
• Previous leadership, lead technician, preceptor, or coordinator experience preferred.
