Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgicare - Denton is actively seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. You will scrub for procedures, maintain sterile fields, prepare supplies, and support the surgical team to deliver high-quality patient care.

The position emphasizes weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, nights, or on-call requirements. A high school diploma or GED plus completion of a surgical technician program and required state certifications

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; completion of a Surgical Technician Program or related education.
  • Certification as required by state and/or center.
  • Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management,

  • Scrubs for surgical procedures as part of the operative team.
  • Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures and prepares supplies and equipment.
  • Supports quality improvement activities and collaborates with staff and physicians.

Certified Surgical Technologist at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare - Denton:

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certification as required by state and/or center
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
