Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks a certified Surgical Tech (CST/ORT) for a 13-week OR assignment. Shift 06:30–17:00, 10.5-hour days, with at least 1 year of experience and NBSTSA CST certification.

This on-call role includes one day weekly and a Fri–Sun weekend; the unit is 3 beds with a 4-person staff and 1:1 patient ratios. EMR Meditech Expanse used; procedures include robotic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repair, total joints, and spine-related surgeries.

Qualifications

• Robotics experience in surgical settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in OR procedures as CST/ORT.
• Maintain sterile technique and patient safety.
• Coordinate with RN staff; ensure 1:1 patient ratios.
• Utilize Meditech Expanse EMR for intraoperative notes.
• Support on-call schedule and weekend coverage as required.

Description:This position is designated as on-call.The schedule includes one day each week and one weekend that covers Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.The unit has a total of 3 beds and a staff of 4.On the day shift, there are 2 RNs and 2 CSTs, with night shift call only.Patient ratios are 1:1.The unit utilizes EMR Meditech Expanse.The typical procedures performed include robotic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repair, total joints, laminectomy, kyphoplasty, and carpal tunnel release.Candidates without the required skills will not be considered for the role.As staffing increases and case volume rises, the number of call days will decrease.The best personality fit for this role is essential for team dynamics.
