Description:The Surgical Technologist works under the supervision of the physician/RN.They report to the Director/Manager of the department.They are responsible for coordinating all supplies and instrumentation needed for surgical procedures.This coordination is performed according to established policies and procedures.The Surgical Technologist is also responsible for the disposition and decontamination of instruments and supplies within the OR area.Additionally, they will assist the RN with patient care planning, interventions, and outcomes.
