Job summary

OSH is seeking a full-time Certified Surgical Tech to work Monday - Friday, 6:30a - 5:00p with a rotating day off. This role includes call 2-3 days a month and a 4-day weekend every four weeks due to rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Certification through NBSTA required upon hire.
• Current BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon during procedures and maintain sterile field.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon to ensure efficient operations.
• Ensure quality patient care and safety throughout the operative process.
• Monitor and uphold aseptic technique during all activities.

Job description

OSH, a physician-owned facility, is looking for a full-time Certified Surgical Tech to work Monday - Friday, 6:30a - 5:00p with a rotating day off, i.e. Tuesday off this week, Wednesday off the following week, Thursday off the next week, etc. Every four weeks you will get a 4-day weekend due to having Friday and Monday off on the rotation. There is some call required which is typically 2-3 days a month, with 1 weekend call every 6-8 weeks or so. This position comes with full-time benefits! Job Mission

The Certified and Non-Certified Surgery Tech, hold safety sensitive positions, and provide aid in functions that help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. He/she understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

Occupational Experience

Previous surgical tech experience preferred but not required.

Requires

Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program. Certified Surgical Techs require certification through NBSTA upon hire. Current BLS certification required upon hire.

Specialty Knowledge Skills

Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in current Surgical and Sterile procedures that are unit/age specific.
