Responsibilities

• Performs technical skills and assists surgeons, anesthesia personnel, nurses, and other professionals in the operating room.
• Operates electro surgical, diagnostic, microscopic laser, video equipment and other equipment relevant to each specialty area.
• Performs counts with RN for sponges, needles, and instruments; maintains adherence to safety and regulatory policies.
• Attends mandatory education and department-specific trainings; demonstrates proper body mechanics and identification protocols.
