Job summary

North Central Surgical Center, affiliated with Baylor Scott & White, is seeking a full-time Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our Dallas, TX team. Under RN supervision, you will prepare sterile fields, manage instruments, and support continuous patient services through a rotating call system.

The role requires CST certification, a high school diploma, and current BLS. Prior joint/spine/arthroscopy experience is preferred; we offer a comprehensive benefits package and career growth

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of CST OR experience.
• CST certification required.
• Current BLS required.
• One year of Total Joint, Complex Spine, and Arthroscopy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain sterile field for surgical procedures.
• Assist in handling instruments, supplies, and equipment in the OR.
• Organize instruments and supplies for efficiency during procedures.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule to ensure patient services.
• Maintain knowledge of OR procedures and best practices.
• Restock and assist in maintenance of physician preference cards.

We are currently looking for a full time Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team.

TheCertified Surgical Technologist (CST)will support our team by being responsible for the following:

• Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, sets up and maintains a sterile field for minor and major surgical procedures applying special knowledge of asepsis.
• Applies knowledge of specialized instruments, equipment, and supplies utilized in the Operating Room.
• Organizes instruments, equipment, and supplies for easy access and maximum efficiency.
• Participates in a rotational call system as needed to provide for continuous availability of patient services.
• Follows appropriate guidelines for setting up sterile field and instruments for designated procedures.
• Maintains current knowledge of procedures performed in the Operating Room.
• Re-stocks Operating Room supplies as caseload permits.
• Assists circulating nurse in maintenance of physician preference cards.

Required Skills:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of previous Operating Room CST experience is required.
• CST certification, required.
• Current BLS required.
• One year of Total Joint, Complex Spine, and Arthroscopy experience, preferred.
