Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is hiring a patient transport assistant to support nursing staff and move patients between units. You will verify patient records, assist with non-technical tasks, and help prepare the floor for procedures on a full-time schedule.

Shifts run 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm, with supervision by RN or Nurse Manager. No prior experience required beyond a high school diploma; BLS certification is required to qualify for this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• No prior experience necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide general non-technical assistance to nursing staff.
• Transport patients to and from surgery and verify documentation.
• Monitor and assist with CPR if necessary; transport blood as needed.

How You'll Make An Impact

Provides general non-technical assistance to nursing staff members. Transport patients to and from surgery and checks patients’ medical records for required documentation. Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (when necessary). Transports blood (as necessary).

Schedule: Full-Time 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm

Reports: RN/Nurse Manager (JC: 031001) or RN/Assistant Nurse Manager (JC: 030303)
