Job summary

Mercy is seeking a nursing support role in the perioperative setting at our Rogers, AR location. You will assist with individualized patient care under the guidance of the perioperative leader, performing designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification (may be obtained within 90 days). One year of hospital experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive

Position Details:

• Required Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience:
  • None required. One-year clinical experience within a hospital preferred.
• Licensure:
  • None required.
• Certifications:
  • BLS required or may obtain within 90 days of hire. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) may be required per location of employment.
• Other: Minimum Physical Requirements
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Safety/Risk Management:

• Follows Mercy policy and procedures related to safety, confidentiality, and patient rights/regulations.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and practices sound infection prevention techniques.
• Assesses safety needs and provides for a safe environment: ex: Fall Precautions; Restraint Management; Patient Identification; Unit/Departmental Specific Policies; Safe Patient Handling
• Participates in Quality Improvement activities that ensure and enhance quality of patient care.

Technology:

• Utilizes unit specific technology to perform daily tasks and maintain appropriate communications (ex: computer, pagers, zone phones, Rover, etc.).
