Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two years of directly related experience in a surgical setting.
• Must be able to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to follow-up on information with staff members.
• Have excellent public contact skills—courteous, tactful, friendly; able to work well with others.
• Ability to organize workday and environment to get job done.
• Ability to handle multiple requests and work in a stressful environment.
• Maintain current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities for Support Technicians and provides instruction and training of clinical support personnel within the surgery environment during an assigned shift.
• Supports operations in the Operating Room to ensure timely room turnover and environmental safety.
• Maintains procedural equipment, gas cylinders and patient transfer devices in good working order.
• Leads training and assists in validation of competency with Surgical Services Administration and Education teams.
