Job summary

Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC invites an experienced RN Clinical Coordinator for Surgical Stepdown ICU / Post CV to oversee shift operations, delegate care, and ensure timely admissions, transfers and discharges. This full-time AM/PM role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and adherence to nursing standards.

You will guide nursing staff, participate in performance improvement, maintain patient safety, and mentor team members while upholding the hospital’s mission and policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years in specialty within past 5 years
• Substitutable Education & Experience: ADN or Diploma may be considered if currently enrolled in RN to BSN/MS program with degree completion within 12 months of hire/promotion
• Required Certifications/Licensure: Current SC RN license; national nursing certification in specialty or obtain within 6 months of hire/promotion

Responsibilities

• Provides operational shift oversight and delegates care to staff
• Facilitates timely patient admission, transfer and discharge
• Maintains patient safety and quality of care through evidence-based practice
• Mentors staff and serves as a nurse leader for unit standards and performance improvement

Education

Bachelor's degree in Nursing

ADN or Diploma option considered if enrolled in RN to BSN/RN to MS program
