Job summary

CarolinaEast Health System in North Carolina seeks a Physician Assistant to perform examinations, order and interpret tests, and manage follow-up care. The PA will also prescribe medications as appropriate and refer patients for further care under physician supervision.

The role requires completion of an accredited PA program and NCCPA certification, with current BLS/ACLS, and a strong commitment to outstanding patient service within a collaborative, full-service medical center.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program and NCCPA certification.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications per AHA.
• Must practice under supervision of a physician (MD).
• Evidence of Scope of Service on file at CEP and CarolinaEast Health System.
• Commitment to outstanding customer service and Standards of Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform examinations and order/interpret diagnostic tests.

Minimum Requirement s

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Education Program and be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
• Maintain current AHA BLS/ACLS certifications.
• Must work under the supervision of an M.D.
• A copy of the PA’s Scope of Service must be on file at CEP and CarolinaEast Health System.
• Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
