Job summary

CarolinaEast Health System in New Bern, NC seeks a Physician Assistant to perform examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and manage follow-up care. The role includes prescribing medications as appropriate and referring patients for further care as clinically indicated.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited PA program, NCCPA certification, and current ACLS/BLS. The PA will work under MD supervision and maintain the Scope of Service on file with CEP and CarolinaEast

Qualifications

• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Current AHA BLS/ACLS certifications.
• Must work under the supervision of an MD.
• Copy of PA Scope of Service on file at CEP and CarolinaEast Health System.
• Deliver outstanding customer service in line with CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.

Physician Assistant duties will include, but not limited to: performing examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic and screening tests, follow up appointments, prescribing and ordering medication as appropriate for patients' medical conditions, and referring patients for further care as clinically appropriate.

Minimum Requirement s:
