Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine, TX seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Surgical Services with a $15,000 sign-on bonus and a 24‑month commitment. This is a full‑time role serving the preop, circulator and PACU needs. The job includes a Monday–Friday day shift with on‑call duties.

Candidates must have an associate degree and Texas RN licensure; a BSN is preferred. You will collaborate with the surgical team, maintain sterile fields, and promote patient safety and comfort throughout

Qualifications

• Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse
• Prefer bachelor's degree in nursing
• Must have a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas

Responsibilities

• Perform duties for the surgical patient in accordance with the Nursing Standards of Care and AORN Standards and will implement and evaluate that care utilizing the Nursing Process
• Will function as a member of the surgical team linking sterile and non-sterile fields
• Will organize and oversee the operating room during the surgical procedure by maintaining surgical records, assisting anesthesia as needed, keeping the patient’s family informed of the patient’s condition
• Assure patient safety and comfort, assisting scrub team in maintaining sterile field, controlling, and maintaining equipment and supplies
