Job summary

Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Women's Services Labor & Delivery Unit. The role is full-time with day shift and includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus with an 18-month commitment.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, assisting physicians, administering medications, and teaching patients and families to manage conditions and self-care. L&D experience and Texas RN license are required.

Qualifications

Labor & Delivery experience required.
Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse.
Prefer bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Must have a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas.

Responsibilities

Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks.
