Cayuga Health in Ithaca, NY is hiring a Perioperative Care Assistant - Prep & Recovery for Cayuga Medical Center. You will transport patients, manage equipment, and support the surgical team under the supervision of an RN, helping maintain a safe, organized operating environment on 10- or 12-hour shifts, days or evenings, on site.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, ability to lift over 25 lbs and assist with transfers up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to a clean, safe workspace.

Responsabilités

• Assist with patient transport and specimen delivery.
• Support surgical teams by aiding in patient positioning, movement, and preparation.
• Maintain operating room cleanliness by turnover procedures and waste management.
• Manage equipment logistics: retrieval, setup, cleaning, and storage.
• Ensure availability of essential supplies and PPE in designated areas.
• On-call responsibilities during weekdays and weekends.
