Cayuga Health System is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for the Prep & Recovery Unit at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca. You will care for patients before and after anesthesia, monitor vital signs, and document care with attention to safety and quality.

The role requires an NY RN license and an Associates degree in nursing. BLS/ACLS/PALS will be provided during the introductory period; 6–12 months of critical care or 1 year recovery experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing.
• Active New York State RN license.
• Will obtain BLS, ACLS & PALS during introductory period.
• 6–12 months critical care experience or 1 year recovery experience.
• Preferred: BSN.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients receiving anesthesia and recovering from anesthesia; monitor pre- and post-operative vital signs and observe for side effects.
• Prioritize care, document accurately and communicate effectively with the team.
